The Humantay Lagoon is located in the mountains of Salkantay, at 4,300 meters above sea level in the Vilcabamba mountain range in southern Peru. This lagoon was formed by the thaw of the Humantay and Salkantay peaks, presenting a unique landscape of the district of Mollepata (Anta). Humantay Lake
You will be picked up from the hotel between 3:30 a.m. at 4:10 a.m. to then make a 2 hour trip through beautiful landscapes where we can appreciate in the middle of the route to the imposing Nevado de Salkantay and the Valley of Limatambo, then we will arrive to Mollepata located at 2900 m.s.n.m. small town where we will have a delicious breakfast and then continue our route for about 45 minutes on the road to reach Soraypampa (3900 masl), the beautiful views of the mountains and snowy will welcome us, our guide will perform a small Andean ritual ceremony to begin to walk, then it will be an hour and a half to two hours on the way up to reach the beautiful Humantay Lake (4200 meters above sea level) located on the slopes of the same name, on arrival we will have between 40 minutes to an hour to enjoy the tranquility and peace of this place and take our pictures, after having enriched us with such a nice experience we will begin to descend again to Soraypampa (an hour of descent approx.) so that our mobility will return you to Mollepata where a delicious lunch will be waiting for you , then we will return to Cusco (5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.).
